DescriptionCall for nominations to the IIBA South Saskatchewan Chapter Board of Directors
We are accepting nominations for the following positions on the IIBA South Saskatchewan Chapter Board of Directors. Voting will be open from May 19th to May 25th, with the results being announced at the Annual General Meeting on Thursday, May 26th. Additional information regarding the nomination process can be found by clicking on the following link.Following are the descriptions of each available positions' role / responsibilities:
PresidentThe President shall act as the executive head of the Chapter and when present shall preside as Chair over the Board meetings. The President shall exercise supervision over the affairs of the Chapter. The President shall be responsible for enforcement of these Bylaws and carrying out all orders and resolutions of the Board. The President shall exercise such authority within limits as shall be set by the Board from time to time. The President shall also have such additional responsibility as may be delegated by the Board. The President is responsible to the Board. The President shall keep the Board informed of all aspects of the Chapter’s affairs and shall consult with it on major activities. The President shall make reports to the general membership on behalf of the Board at each annual meeting and as directed by the Board. The President shall also serve as ex-officio with the right to vote on all committees.
Vice PresidentThe Vice President is responsible to the President and the Board and shall assume the duties of the President in the absence or disability of the President. The Vice President shall assist the President in the execution of his or her duties and responsibilities to the Board. The Vice President shall also have such additional responsibilities as may be delegated by the Board or the President.
TreasurerThe Treasurer is responsible to the President and the Board and shall be responsible for the financial affairs of the Chapter. The Treasurer shall maintain the financial records of the Chapter and shall submit financial statements to the Board or any relevant Governmental agency as directed by the Board or required by law. The Treasurer shall prepare, for submission to the Annual Meeting, a set of financial statements as provided for in these Bylaws. The Treasurer shall provide current financial reports as requested by the President or Board. Upon election of a new Treasurer, the outgoing Treasurer shall be responsible to conduct a complete financial review with the incoming Treasurer.
Directors at Large- Director, Membership Services- Director, Special EventsEach of the Directors at Large shall assume responsibility for Chapter activities as assigned by the Board.
